The Ear-Piercing Wizard at Medusa
Getting a child's ears pierced, without tears or fear — with the Ear-Piercing Wizard method that Oliver, Medusa's founder, developed himself. Instead of a clinical procedure, a first ear piercing becomes a small piece of magic for kids.
What is the Ear-Piercing Wizard?
Oliver invented the Ear-Piercing Wizard concept to playfully take away children's fear of getting their ears pierced. Instead of a department-store piercing gun, our trained staff fits the earring using whichever professional method suits the earring and the child best — with a lot of patience, humor, and a little magic show that distracts the child. In our studio, Aaron is our Ear-Piercing Wizard. By the end, it feels to the kids like they magically made their own earrings appear.
Who is this for?
- Children from about 4 years old — the age at which most kids already understand the meaning and responsibility of wearing earrings
- Babies are also possible, at the parents' request
- Most important is the child's own consent — no one is held down or talked into it
- Also great for older kids and teens getting their first piercing
How it works
Arriving & getting comfortable
A short, relaxed chat with the child and parents — no time pressure, so no one feels uneasy.
The magic show
With patience, humor, and a few small tricks, Aaron eases the child's tension before the earring is even fitted.
Fitting the earrings
Professional, precise, and quick — with high-quality titanium starter jewelry instead of a piercing gun.
Good to know
- School holidays or a stretch without gym class are a good time to do this — so the fresh piercing gets enough rest to heal.
- We pay close attention to the child's age and maturity — in some cases we recommend waiting a little longer.
- You'll get aftercare instructions directly from us in the studio.
How do I best prepare my child?
Earrings for babies — common questions
From the studio floor
I invented the Ear-Piercing Wizard concept because I saw how much fear children often have about getting their ears pierced — and it really doesn't have to be that way. With a bit of magic, patience, and humor, the procedure becomes a little experience kids look back on fondly.
In our studio in Munich, Aaron has taken this over, and he brings just as much heart to it. But I still join in myself from time to time when the timing works out.
